Seoul’s official page provides a line-by-line service range and includes Seoul-licensed transit and town buses, including night buses, under the current rules. Bus eligibility follows the licence, not simply the colour or where you board.
Excluded
The official page excludes Sinbundang Line, subway sections outside the range, intercity and airport buses, and non-Seoul-licensed buses. VISITKOREA’s current traveller guide also excludes GTX. Airport Railroad coverage depends on service and station range; the AREX Express is not a normal Climate Card ride.
Why the calculator asks for a percentage
Most tourists cannot reliably label every future ride in advance. The eligible-share input lets you model a conservative 50% or 75% case instead of pretending every itinerary is fully covered. Put excluded ride costs back into the total.
