Use the official visitor booking route
Search the route and date through KORAIL’s English service or current official app rather than an imitation page. Confirm the domain before entering passenger or payment information. Korea Trip Tools never asks for, stores or forwards a passport number, card number, email or booking record.
Match the traveller information
For a KORAIL PASS purchase, the official page says information must match the passport. Individual ticket requirements can differ, so follow the current checkout rather than copying a name format from an old guide. Never send sensitive booking data to a correction form or travel calculator.
Treat a failed payment as a separate problem
A failure can come from the issuer, card authentication, browser state or live inventory. Recheck the official seat search, try another independently issued card if available, or use an authorised seller whose final price and cancellation terms are clear. Do not keep repeating charges without checking whether a booking was created.
